Our latest pantomime, The Wizard That Was pantomime took place on the 2nd and 3rd April 2022

After an undesirably long break, we were delighted to finally perform our postponed Woodingdean pantomime The Wizard That Was took place on Saturday 2nd April Sunday 3rd April.

Like all the Woodingdean Players pantomimes, The Wizard That Was is a completely home grown production by a group of brilliant people from the local community.

We had the largest cast and crew ever this year and it was great to be able to introduce some new faces as well as delight in the familiar ones.

A huge thank you to Tony Parsons for his wonderful painting that helped us promote this year's event

Peter Pandemonium

We staged our first ever show, a pantomime, Peter Pandemonium, in December 2015 at the Woodingdean Scout Hut. There were 2 performances and both were sold out. We were delighted to receive so much positive feedback after our first show. Peter Pandemonium was a family show for everyone from 3 to 103. It was our first ever show, so what we lacked in experience we made up for in enthusiasm.

Rehearsals

We spend Sunday afternoons from mid September rehearsing for the pantomime - rehearsals are pretty hard work but we do try to make sure we have fun too.

If you'd like to be part of the pantomime then please do follow us onfacebook and make sure you come along to our meet and greet - details will be published there.

The rehearsals are two to three hours long and as well as the cast there are many people who turn up week after week to support them. Without their help the panto simply couldn't happen.
