The Wizard That Was - April 2022

A family pantomime loosely based on the well-known fairy tale (actually that goes for all of our shows!)

After an undesirably long break due to the Covid pandemic we were delighted to finally perform our postponed Woodingdean pantomime The Wizard That Was. It took place on Saturday 2nd April Sunday 3rd April either fashionably late or unfashionably early depending on your point of view.

Like all the Woodingdean Players pantomimes, The Wizard That Was is a completely home grown production by a group of brilliant people from the local community.

We had the largest cast and crew ever this year and it was great to be able to introduce some new faces as well as delight in the familiar ones.

A huge thank you to Tony Parsons for his wonderful painting that helped us promote this year's event.

Also huge thanks to Glenn Tolhurst and his trusty assistant Alicia Tolhurst Brown for his wonderful Tornado. Its very strange seeing a local landmark being swept away with the wind!

We got some lovely comments about the show around the social media sphere
